Michael is the Managing Partner and CEO of Upwell Search Partners. As a technology enthusiast, he embraces digital transformation and is focused on search work that contributes to the evolution of innovative technologies.
He has 25 years in executive search with over 1,000+ searches completed. Michael has worked extensively with C-Suite customers to scale their commercial organizations across Healthcare Technology, Medical Information Providers, and leading Digital Health companies. Clients appreciate his consultative and insightful viewpoint during search projects.
He contributed to several technology disruptors including the first mobile drug reference platform for physicians and the most dominant social network solution for doctors. At the beginning stages of his career, he worked with the first computer book publishers (“Dummy’s” series), the earliest CD/internet gaming companies (Hasbro Interactive), as well as startups in library medical research that revolutionized microfiche and CD-ROM systems (Elsevier, Thompson) as precursors to web-based access technologies. “Our contribution is identifying the right talent that can execute and scale organizations so that society benefits from these incredible inventors”.
Building successful organizations is gratifying but seeing leaders we have placed at the director level grow into CEO’s and having long lasting contributions is very meaningful to me. Being a conduit to that accomplishment is a great feeling.
